Dian Mitchell Mathews, 68, a native of Pensacola, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born on September 5, 1948.

Dian was a devout Catholic and absolutely loved her family more than anything. Anyone that knew her knew that Tracy and Phil were the greatest loves of her life. She will always be remembered as being a very dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Dian was preceded in death by her father, Clifton (Chick) Mitchell; her mother, Eva Mitchell and daughter, Tracy Patroni Lafreniere.

She is survived by her son, Phil Mathews, II (Shauna); 2 brothers, C. J. Mitchell, Jr. (Cheryl) and Rickey Mitchell (Kay); 5 grandchildren, Hugh Patroni, Jr. (Melissa), Shawn Patroni, Phil Mathews, III (Nikole), Lauren Mathews (fiance' Jeremy Byrd) and Amanda Mathews; 5 great grandchildren as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Friday, March 24, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Deacon Bill Whibbs, officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
