Diana Dalton Mayo, 76, of Pensacola passed away Monday, January 7, 2013. Mrs. Mayo was born in Georgiana, AL on July 26, 1936 to Janie Pearl (Boone) and William Casey Dalton. She graduated from Auburn University in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration, and met her future husband Bill Mayo. They were married on July 9, 1960. She served as a Navy wife for 10 years, and as a business partner with her husband in their company Pensacola Aeromotive Corp. She was a charter member and the first queen of the Krewe of Aphrodite and a member and past queen of Maids of Luna and the Fiesta Frolickers. Diana enjoyed attending events with her husband at the Pensacola Yacht Club and pleasure cruising on their boat. She was a lifetime member of the Auburn Alumni Association and the Golden Eagle. Diana was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William (Bill) Mayo; godchildren, Kelly McGuire Wood of Austin, TX, Shawn McGuire of Norfolk, VA, Jeff Schnoor of Denver, CO and Greg Schnoor of Pensacola; as well as other relatives and many friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Jack Giddens officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
