Dickson Bartholomew Gonzalez, Jr., 92, died Monday, November 21, 2016. A lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL, he was born on July 29, 1924 to Dickson Bartholomew Gonzalez, Sr. and Ruth Withnell Gonzalez.

Dickson was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Mills Gonzalez and 4 sisters, Cecile Gonzalez Malone, Ruth Gonzalez Cary, Margaret Gonzalez Miller and Genevieve Gonzalez.

He is survived by one sister, Martha Gonzalez Quina and by his children, Ruth Gonzalez, Nonie Gonzalez Bird (John), Julie Gonzalez Sackman (Eric), Dickson B. Gonzalez III (Brenda) and Kate Gonzalez Tremain (Rawleigh) and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:30am at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, 19 N. Palafox St., Pensacola with Fr. Joseph P. Callipare, celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Cary, Joseph Heideman, Gregory MacFarlane, Anthony Quina, Reid Quina, Stephen Quina, Carl Sackman and Eric Jon Sackman.
