Dolores Y. Rosell, 80, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at her home in Pensacola, FL after a short illness.

Dolores was born January 1, 1939 in Guantanamo, Cuba to Pablo and Adela Fernandez. She graduated with a Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Santiago, Cuba and thereafter moved to Madrid, Spain fleeing Castro's communism. While in Madrid she traveled extensively through Europe and continued her education. Upon relocating to the US Naval Base in Guantanamo, Cuba she fell in love and married Eloy Rosell on July 31, 1974 and had been happily married for over 44 years. Dolores was an avid reader. She enjoyed reading all genres and spending time with her family. She was a loving person, devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend; always thinking of others first.

Her family paid this tribute to her, 'Dolores was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, over the years she opened her heart and her home to many family members; she will be sorely missed.'

Dolores is survived by her husband, Eloy Rosell of Pensacola; and two step daughters, Elvis and Ema Rosell of Guantanamo, Cuba. She is also survived by eight siblings, Drina Franco, Sonia Fernandez, and Mercedes Nicklien all of Pensacola, Elba Fernandez of Tampa, Angel Fernandez of Miami, Luis Fernandez of Puerto Rico, Teresa Fernandez, Armando Fernandez and Julio Fernandez of Cuba, as well as many nieces and nephews that will miss her terribly and keep her in their hearts.
