Donald H. Lapehn, 94, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019.

He was born on February 17, 1925 in Davenport, IA to Harry and Marie Lapehn. Don grew up in Iowa joining the US Marines in 1943, serving his country overseas until 1946. After his military service he attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, where he met his future wife, Rebecca Alice Smith. They were married in 1948 and graduated together in 1949. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola. Don was a licensed CPA, life master bridge player, golfer, and avid photographer.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Smith Lapehn.

He is survived by his daughter, Becky Ann Lapehn (Ricky) of Pensacola; sons, John Francis Lapehn (Jeanette) of Granger, IN and Richard Arnold Lapehn (Laura) of Barberton, OH; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral cortege will depart Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 9:30am Thursday, May 16, 2019 for a Graveside Service at 10:00am at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
