AMCS Donald Ray Leonard, US Navy (ret), 74, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010, in Pensacola, FL. He was born February 24, 1936, in Danville, VA. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1974 after 21 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Lee Leonard and Augusta Carter Leonard, his wife, Mary Foreman, and his brother, Vernon Leonard. He is survived by his daughters; Laura Cole (Barry) of Pensacola, FL, and Andrea Moon (David) of Alpharetta, GA, as well as his three grandchildren; Conner Cole, Harrison Cole and Amber Moon. He is also survived by his sisters; Helen Solomon and Judy Ainsworth and his brother; Winston Leonard, all of Danville, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:15am on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
