Donald "Donnie" A. Markham, Jr., 59, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Donnie was born in Pensacola, FL on May 3, 1961. He graduated from Pensacola Adult High. Donnie had many hobbies including surfing, fishing, music, and metal fabrication. Like many people born with sand between their toes, he was happiest when either on or near the water. He suffered a debilitating accident in 1994 that forever changed his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Markham, Sr.; grandparents, Vaughn & Hazel Markham; and maternal grandparents, Alan & Elma Ward.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Jo (Jerry) Guertin; his brother, Michael (Rhonda) Hitchcock; sister, Cyndee (Stephen) Gaidosh; his closest friends, Frank (Gretchen) Patti, Jr. and Jennifer (Rick) James; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff in the ICU and Covenant Care at Sacred Heart Hospital, as well as to Landon and Donnie with Covenant Care. Also, a very special thank you to Rick & Jennifer James, and Frank Patti, Jr.
