Dorie Ann deChamplain, age 66, of Pensacola, passed away suddenly June 16, 2018.

She was born December 8, 1951 to Albert and the late Rita deChamplain, in Norwich, CT. Dorie was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and graduate of Concordia University, in Montreal, Quebec. There she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Biology. She worked as a public health and safety inspector, but for the last few years worked as a teacher's assistant. Dorie was known for her spirituality and her passion for Native American history and culture. She was fascinated by wildlife and natural medicines. Her favorite activities included meditation and yoga. Dorie is remembered as a devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita deChamplain, nee Bowe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, Oliver and Andre Calaminus; father, Albert deChamplain of Moore, SC; brothers, Damon (Laurie) deChamplain of Fishkill, NY and Doug (Beth) deChamplain of Jewett City, CT; step-sister, Wendy Koke of Duncan, SC and step-brother, Allen Maxwell of Draper, UT.

Memorial visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 2:00pm until a celebration of life service begins at 3:00pm. A private cremation was entrusted to Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504.
