Dorothy Acheson Butler, age 90, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully at the home of her sister on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

She was born September 18, 1925 in Walton County to Mr. and Mrs. John Allen. She attended Paxton High School and had a lifelong career as a hairdresser. She enjoyed running her own beauty shop, caring for her flower garden, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Pensacola First Assembly of God.

She is survived by her siblings, Louise Ryals, Mae Hazel Carnley, and Charles Allen as well as her grandchildren, Kerraina Jensen, Lindsay Uncapher, and Jacob Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie Allen; five siblings; her two sons, James and Rex Kelly; her grandson, Jason; and great-grandson, Joseph.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00pm Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
