Dorothy Guevarra, 86, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016.

Dorothy has gone to the Kingdom.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Guevarra; her parents, Thomas and Florita Sims; her brothers, Thomas Sims, Joseph Sims; her sister, Ella Louise Sims.

She leaves behind her brother, Benjamin Sims; her sister, Antoinette Diokno; her children, Jacinta and Mike Vogel, Elisa and Mark Whibbs, Donicia and Robin Fike, Carlos and Sharon Guevarra and Rena and Carl Howell; her grandchildren, Anna and Shayn Theriault, Mark Jr. and Kathleen Whibbs, Stephanie and Anthony Gonzalez, Joseph and Lili Whibbs, Michael Vogel, Benjamin Vogel, Christopher and Laura Frasse, Matthew Frasse, Jessica Frasse, Nathan Howell, Nick Howell, Alex Guevarra and Ava Guevarra; her great grand children, Jude Theriault, Brody Theriault, Roman Whibbs, Julian Whibbs and Annalise Gonzalez. She has many other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 9:00 am until the Funeral Mass begins at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

A special thank you to the people of Brookdale who took care of Dorothy and to her friends there. She loved them very much especially Maria and Cherie. Thank you to Eric in the emergency room at West Florida Hospital for being so kind to our mother!
