With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy “Jane” Morgan Noa, age 96, who departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, faith, and devotion to her family.

Born on September 1, 1929, in Pensacola, FL, Jane lived a full and meaningful life marked by kindness, perseverance, and grace. Throughout her 96 years, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit.

A native of Pensacola, Jane graduated from Pensacola High School and went on to attend Florida State University when it was an all-women's college, a testament to her pioneering spirit and love of learning.

In 1948, she married Vincent Vidal Noa, Sr., and they remained devoted partners for nearly 70 years until Vincent's passing in 2017. Jane was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, where her Faith was the cornerstone of her life. Together, they served the Cathedral as Sacristans for over 20 years, participated in daily Mass, and served as Eucharistic Ministers. Their devotion was recognized in 2009 when they received the Diocesan Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement. Jane also taught third grade CCD classes for thirteen years and served as Director of Religious Education for 25 years and was a cherished member of the Altar Society.

Jane had a gift for making life sweeter in every sense. She was renowned among family and friends for her legendary Sour Cream Pound Cakes, and she lived by a philosophy that delighted everyone who knew her: always eat dessert first, so you have room for it. She also grew blackberries along her fence, harvesting nearly 100 pounds a year, which she generously shared with family, friends, and neighbors.

Her love of sweets was matched only by her curiosity about the world. A passionate genealogist, Jane devoted considerable time to researching her family's history, preserving stories and connections that might otherwise have been lost. She and Vincent also shared a love of adventure, taking road trips together to visit National Parks across the United States, building a lifetime of memories along the open road.

At home, Jane found joy in quieter pleasures as well. She loved working jigsaw puzzles and, in her later years, spent many happy hours gathering around the table with family playing Yahtzee and Dominoes. Some of the family's most treasured memories are of Fourth of July celebrations at what everyone lovingly called the cabin, where fish fries and homemade ice cream brought generations together in laughter and love.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the beautiful life she lived, the love she gave, and the lasting example she leaves behind.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Vincent V. Noa Sr; her parents, Thomas G. Morgan and Mary Ann Fairley Morgan; as well as her brother, Thomas G. Morgan Jr.

Survivors include her five children: Diana Foote (Richard), Vincent Noa (Frances), Jane Sketoe (Bob), John Noa (Terry), and Paul Noa (Micheline); 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

A rosary will be prayed at 1:00pm with a visitation following until a Funeral Mass begins at 2:00pm Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1212 E. Moreno St., Pensacola, FL, with Msgr. Michael Reed celebrant and Deacon David El assisting. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St., Pensacola, FL.

Pallbearers will be her sons, Vincent, John, and Paul; grandsons, Richard Foote, Jr. and Jacob Noa; and great-grandson, Noa Mackey.

Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Richard Foote, Sr. and Bob Sketoe, and her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please have Masses said for the repose of Jane's soul.

We would like to extend a special mention of gratitude for the love and support we received from Trinity Health Pace of Pensacola and Life Care Center of Pensacola.
