Dorothy Shelby Wilkerson, 94, of Pensacola, FL, passed away at her home on August 23, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Our Lord and Savior sent down His angels to bring her home.
Dorothy was one of the first original members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Faithfully alongside her beloved husband Raymond "Skippy" Wilkerson, they operated family-owned service stations in Warrington called "Skippy's" for over 40 years while raising their 8 children. Together, they touched and influenced the hearts of many, and were admired for their commitment to God and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Skippy" Wilkerson; daughters, Charlotte Bonifay and Renny Reynolds; son, Thomas Wilkerson, and grandson Ronald Smedley Jr.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Paula Reilly, Teri Patterson (Howard) and Shelby Walders (James); sons Doug Wilkerson (Jackie) and Donald Wilkerson (Renee); sons-in-laws Ronald Bonifay and Robert Reynolds, 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, with another due in January, 8 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong family friend, Father Eugene Casserly.
Visitation will be held 5:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church Pensacola, with Fr. Jim Olnhausen celebrant. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
