Paul Andrew "Drew" Redman, III, 33, of Pensacola, FL gained his forever Sportsman Paradise Pass in heaven on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Grand Lagoon on the intracoastal waterway in a tragic boating accident.
Drew was born May 12, 1989, to Paul and Monica. If there were ever a perfect child, he was the one. He was an old and gentle soul at a young age. He stayed surrounded by family that loved and adored him his entire life. Drew was a giver, loved to please others, and would help anyone in need at any time. He made us all better people. Drew was a graduate of Escambia High School where he played football and excelled on the weightlifting team. He was a deck boss on his dad's boat, the Snapper Trapper. At the age of 13, he had the respect of all that stepped on the back deck of the boat due to his personality and knowledge of the water, boats and fishing.
Drew tried many different things and succeeded in all of them. His jobs over the years were mostly water related. His years of employment included commercial fishing, charter fishing, working in tackle shops, and a hired gun on private boats. He spent many years at Outcast Bait and Tackle in Pensacola and at Top Gun in Orange Beach. Drew went on to better himself and began a career as a marine technician where he excelled at BGS Marine with several of his friends for over 4 years. Drew accomplished more in his short 33 years of life than most people do in a long lifetime.
Drew was a son, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, and a nephew but never got the chance to be a father. Although, he had it in him to be the absolute best father a child would have hoped for. He was his brothers' keeper and his sisters' bodyguard. If your children were in his presence, they were probably being held by him or he was down on their level with them. He loved teaching children about hunting, fishing, and life skills. Uncle Doo Doo was loved by all.
Drew was either in the woods, on the water, or in the mud. He loved to hunt, fish, build reefs, chase hogs down, drive a side by side ATV and cook. He'd wrestle a cow, break a horse in, skin a buck, and come up with great ways to cook the game and fish he caught. He loved to walk and stalk hunt for miles in the backwoods. These were his passions that he enjoyed doing with his friends and family.
If you were his friend, you were a blessed individual because you had a real friend who genuinely cared for you. He was a person who you could call on and he would be there for you no matter what hour of the day it was or what he was doing at the time. He was such a selfless individual who thought of others first.
He was our son and our heart. He was family and a friend to many. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Drew will live on in our hearts and memories until we meet again.
