Drinda Sue Chuites, age 73, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Sue was born to the late Willie and Ruby Lane in Manila Arkansas in 1952. After graduating from high school, she attended nursing school. As an RN, she specialized as a surgical nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital. After retirement, she taught at Pensacola State College which she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and later part time at Baptist Hospital.

Sue is known for her ever-open heart in rescuing cats and dogs and caring for her own pets.

Sue loves spending time tending to her garden and traveling to other countries. Sue cherished her family. She enjoyed her friendship with her two best friends Debbie Birdsong and Barbara Inkel.

Sue was also a member of Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel.

Sue is survived by her husband, Michael Chuites of 32 years and stepchildren, Mike, Patrick and Kathryn.

Sue will be remembered for her humor, warmth and generous spirit.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until a funeral service begins at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
