Edmond "Aubrey" English, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born on December 15, 1930, in Atmore, Alabama to the late Edmond Aubrey English, Sr. and Inez Blanche English. In Addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Jean Steele English, a brother David English, and brothers-in-law Steve Jernigan and Bob Camp.
Aubrey attended Tate High School. He served in the United States Army as a mechanic during the Korean War, which led to his lifelong interest and love for cars. In addition, he was a lover of animals and playing dominos and was of the Methodist faith. Aubrey was a member of the Santa Rosa Creek Indian Tribe. In 1956, he married the late Margaret Jean Steele English. Aubrey owned and operated E.A. English Paint and Body in Pensacola for decades. After selling E.A. English Paint and Body, Aubrey became a satellite dealer for Peterbuilt and sold semi-trucks and truck parts.
Aubrey is survived by his daughter, Angela Robichaux (Eugene), of Pensacola and son, Eddie English (Karen), of Allentown; grandchildren, Bo (Jordan), Caroline Robichaux, and Laura Beth Davis (Jared); his great-grandchildren, Avery, Benjamin, and Emma; his sisters, Rosemary Jernigan and Anise Camp Wesley (James); brothers, Charles (Brenda) and Bobby (Mary); special friend Betty Roughton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the employees of Building F at Homestead Village, The Terrace at Ivey Acres, Jay Hospital, and Baptist Hospital SINU unit for their love and excellent care.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m., 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504., with Rev. LaDon Hall, officiating. Active pallbearers will be as follows, Mark Butler, Jared Davis, Bo English, Dannon English, Kevin English and Rhett English. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army at a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gulf Coast Kids House, 3401 N. 12 th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32503 or Pensacola Humane Society, 5 N. Q St, Pensacola, FL 32505.
