Obituary

Edna Mae (Posey) Grasso, 78, of Carrollton, TX passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014. She was born to Clyde and Ethel Posey on September 6, 1935 in Huntsville, AL. Mae lived in Jacksonville Beach, FL most of her early years. Mae married Thomas Grasso, Sr., and they raised a large family together traveling to different duty stations. Some people take in stray pets; she took in stray people, helping them get back on their feet. She was kind and forgiving toward every person she ever came in contact with, blessing each one with a special part of her personality, spirit and sense of humor. After her husband passed away in December of 1989, she made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and she was baptized by emersion becoming a member of Fairfield Dr. Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL. She relocated to Dallas, TX in October, 2003 to reside near her son and daughter-in-law due to poor health. Surrounded by her family, Mae passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014 from complications resulting from congestive heart failure, renal failure and pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Grasso, Sr. of Pensacola, FL. Survivors include her son, Glen Perry of FL; son, Kenny Perry of OR; son, Joseph A.
