Edna Harrelson Rivers, 91, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by her loving children, David, Elizabeth and Dale. She was born on July 19, 1923 in Loris, SC. Edna and Lovick Winfield Rivers were married for 50 years and had 5 children. She was a member of Warrington Presbyterian Church. We are all thankful for her long life and the time we had with her. She was loved by all that knew her. We will miss her every day until we meet with her in heaven. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Lovick Winfield Rivers, Sr.; two sons, L. Winfield Rivers, Jr. and Joel Patton Rivers; one brother, J.E. Harrelson; and two sisters, Georgia Hause and Helen Coleman. Survivors include her children, J. Elizabeth Prime (Kermit) of Orlando, FL, David E. Rivers and Dale P. O'Neal both of Pensacola, FL; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as two sisters, Ernestine Carter of Franklin, GA and Jeanie Jeffares of Smyrna, GA. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary O'Neal, Randy Rivers, David Rivers, Jeff Rivers and Brian Persons. Visitation will be held 10:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private family committal service at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.
