Edward Stratton Boddy, Jr., 83, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Edward was born January 20, 1937 to Edward S. Boddy and Claire Alberta Eglin Boddy in Pensacola, FL. He attended schools in Pensacola and graduated from Pensacola High in 1955. He then attended the University of Florida where he played in the band and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

He joined the US Air Force in 1958 and was stationed in Bermuda.

In 1960, he married his wife of 60 years, Constance Elizabeth Estes. They had four children.

In 1963, he went to work for Southern Bell in Miami, FL then later transferred to Pensacola. He was employed by them for 37 years.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Claire Boddy and his sister, Mildred Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Edward S. Boddy, III (Lynne) of Slidell, LA, Michael Boddy (Heather) of Pace, FL, Elizabeth Ramirez (Steve) of Pace, FL, and Jonathan Boddy (Dana) of Cantonment, FL; as well as 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10:30am until a Memorial Service to begin at 11:00am Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Dubois officiating. Private family interment will take place at Pensacola Memorial Gardens at a later date.
