Edward Martin Siebert, 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2026.

Ed was born in Hollister, MO on May 6,1937 to Edward and Audrey Siebert. He attended Hollister High School, and he graduated from Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield, MO. While there, he was active in ROTC and after graduation was commissioned into the US Army as an Armored Officer. Ed and his first wife, Beverly, served in many different posts: Germany, Boston, Virginia, Hawaii and Arizona during Ed’s over 21 years of active-duty service. Ed was also stationed in Korea, and he served as a Petroleum Officer in all 4 core zones of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Army with the rank of Major, he and his family settled in Oklahoma. Ed worked for the City of Faith of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Then Ed went on to be the CEO of 2 rural hospitals. He finished his working career as a substitute teacher in Broken Arrow, OK. Ed and his wife moved to Lillian, AL in the early 2000’s to enjoy their retirement.

Ed was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pensacola, FL.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Beverly; his older brother, Tommy; sisters-in-law, Eileen and Judy Siebert; as well as 2 great-nephews, Mike and Matthew Siebert.

Later in life Ed met and married his second wife, Harriet. Together they happily spent the last 7 years of his life. Survivors include his beloved wife, Harriet; daughter, Rebecca Johnson; son, Daniel Siebert; stepsons, Russell Poole (Kirsten) and Scott Poole (Kara); four granddaughters, Samantha, Ashley, Shelby and Madison; numerous great-grandchildren; special nephew, Mike (Janiece) and their family; brother, Jackie; as well as several special cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until a Memorial Service begins at 12:00pm Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 33 E. Gregory St., Pensacola, FL, with Pastor Robert Quiring officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed’s memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Pensacola.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses, CNAs and staff of Pruitt Health and especially to Elizabeth Lowery of Home Instead, his caring and compassionate caregiver in his final months.
