Eleanor T. Aspliden gained her angel wings on the morning of September 21, 2022, at the age of 77 years old. She was born in Wheeling, WV to the late Lawrence and Lillian Jaquay Tuttle on May 11, 1945.
She was the widow of Dr. Carl I. Aspliden, PhD. She grew up in Washington, D.C. from the age of seven and her life was full of fun and adventure. She attended the Bancroft Elementary School, Gordon Jr. High School and Western High School, Ben Franklin University, New York State University and George Washington University. She began her career in Accounting at Koslow Jewelers in New York City. She relocated to Arlington, VA in 1968 to join the firm of CSR, Incorporated. In 1980 the firm was reorganized under new ownership, and she accepted the position as their Chief Financial Officer. After a very successful career, she joined her husband in retirement at Stoneridge Farm in Nelson County, VA. In 2005 she relocated to Pensacola where she was an active member of the Daylily Garden Club and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sister, Etta McDonald (Kellett) of Pensacola and her niece, Elizabeth Dobelbower (Dallas) of Palm Coast, FL.
