Elizabeth Jo Donohoe Bromert, age 71, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2015. Born on November 11, 1943 in Fremont, NE she married Robert Bromert on June 28, 1975 in Maple River, IA. Her husband, Robert; son, Zachary Bromert, his wife Katie, their 3 children and her daughter, Meghan Bromert survive her. Her 42-year Nursing career allowed her to work in many areas and she received the prestigious Frist Humanitarian Award for outstanding patient care. Liz was an avid reader, traveler, music and sports fan who was on a continual quest to learn new things. A Rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 with visitation held from 2-4 p.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 26, 2015 will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church where she attended for 40 years. Fr. Nicholas Schumm will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:45 a.m. A Reception will follow the interment in the Parish Hall at St. Thomas More.
