Elizabeth Thompson Hale, 90, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. Mrs. Hale was born on April 27, 1924 in Columbus, GA. She was picked by Boris Karloff as the Beauty Queen of Florida State University. She worked for ten years at the Meridian Star Newspaper and ten years Augusta Chronicle Newspaper. She loved to play golf in her younger years, enjoyed art, oil painting, gardening and loved animals. She had a heart of gold and was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Collie and Marie Thompson; her infant son, Paul Hale; her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas B. Hale, Sr.; daughter, Rebecca Hale Fuller; son, Richard C. Hale; brother, Ronald Thompson; and sister, Marie T. Gossman. Survivors include her 3 sons, Thomas B. Hale, Jr. and Lee Hale both of Pensacola and Robert A. Hale of Martinez, GA; her brother, Jerry Thompson of Pensacola; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. It was Mrs. Hale's wishes to donate her body to the University of South Alabama Anatomical Board.
