Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Maney, 91, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 surrounded by her family. Betty was born on October 22, 1922 in Oswego, NY. She was a devoted Catholic and possessed a strong love for family. She was given a lifetime achievement award for her 30 years of volunteer service to the Mother Seton Guild at Sacred Heart Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna Dorothy Braga Bailey and Alfred Joseph Bailey. Survivors include her loving husband of 71 years, Martin F. Maney; children, Lynn Maney Griffin (Bill), Martin F. Maney, Jr., Mike Maney (Elaine), Pat Maney (Bonnie) of West Palm Beach, FL, Dan Maney, Terry Maney (Arlene) of New Paltz, NY and Shannon Maney Lowery; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held 2:00pm Monday, December 9, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin McQuone, Fr. Doug Halsema and Deacon Richard Lurton celebrants. Committal will be at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1700 Conway Dr., Pensacola, FL 32503.
