Libby was born in Donaldsonville, GA and was the youngest of 12 brothers and sisters. She married John Roberts, August 22, 1948 and had two sons, Mike and Phil; two grandchildren, John and Ashley and 5 great grandchildren, Mady, Dylan, Emma, Wyatt and Cody. Libby was preceded in death by her husband, John Roberts of 41 years. During the last 10 years of his retirement they enjoyed fishing 2-3 times a week. It was not uncommon for Libby to out fish "The Master Fisherman of Lake Jackson". In this time together Libby and John "Johnny" spent countless days enjoying their grandchildren, John and Ashley. As you can tell by this, family meant the world to them both. After Johnny's death, Libby became very active in volunteering at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. That did not seem to fill her week, so she went to work as a "Demo Lady" at Sam's Club. At her 80th birthday, it was overheard by her Supervisor (age ~25) that Sam's Club customers would come in and ask which aisle Libby was working. The Supervisor indicated that Libby was probably the only employee who had "Groupies". She was well loved by many! Ten years ago Libby felt like she needed to be closer to her children/grandchildren, so she packed up and moved to the big city of Pace, FL. In Pace she spent countless hours/days planting and taking care of her yard. It got to a point that the family accused her of transplanting/moving plants around her yard because there wasn't enough space to put new ones in! Libby was blessed with excellent genetics and lived happily AND independently (INCLUDING DRIVING SAFELY) until just before she went to be with the Lord. She only knew one speed, and that was WIDE OPEN. She truly enjoyed life to its' fullest and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Thursday, March 21, 2013 with a Memorial service beginning at 7pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mike Wiggins will be officiating. A family inurnment service will follow on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens in Tallahassee, FL.
