Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson, 91, of Pensacola passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Betty was born Cairo, GA and had resided in Pensacola most of her life. She worked for the Escambia County School Board in the Food Service Dept. at Workman Middle School for 25+ years. Betty was the last living charter member of Scenic Bay Baptist Church and loved her church activities along with gardening, sewing, walking, cooking, traveling and was a lover of her husband and children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thompson; a son, George Wayne Thompson; a daughter, Mylinda Thompson; her parents and 3 brothers.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Judith (Roy) Godwin; 5 grandchildren, Rachael Brown, Jason Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Angela Bruntlett and Dewaine Dillashaw; 8 great grandchildren; a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am Monday, June 5, 2016 with Funeral service beginning at 11:00am from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Rev. Gary Dickman will officiate. Burial follows at Bayview Memorial Park.
