Mary Ellen Marks, 89, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021.

Ellen was born on August 5, 1932 in Houston County, AL to William F. Fowler and Lena Dickerson Fowler. She was the youngest of eight siblings. She was married to the late Albert James Marks for 49 ½ years. Ellen was a resident of Pensacola since 1954. She became a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church in 1967. She taught Sunday school for several years, served on several committees, and volunteered where she was needed. Ellen attended Pensacola Junior College and received her Associate Degree in Insurance. Ellen owned and managed a business in Pensacola for 32 years, New Image Beauty Salon. She had a passion for cooking and loved gourmet desserts and published her own cookbook in 1986. She sang with a local group, Bells and Beaus. Ellen and her late husband were avid ballroom dancers. After her husband passed, she worked for the Council on Aging of West Florida.

She leaves behind her son, David Wayne Marks (Susan) and many of nieces and nephews to cherish her memories.

Visitation will be 9:30am with the Funeral Service at 10:00am Friday, August 13, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
