Ellen Bronsing Taylor McCaughan, 98, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Ellen was born in Memphis, TN where she graduated from Catholic High School then attended St. Mary's of the Woods College in Indiana and the Memphis Academy of the Arts. She was active in many community affairs and served on the board of the YWCA, Women's Home and the United Way. She had many artistic talents and belonged to many Fiesta and Mardi Gras organizations and Bridge Clubs.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Kathryn Bronsing; husbands Lewis B. Taylor and Roland McCaughan; and brother, John Bronsing.
She is survived by her cousins, Peggy Diana and Michael Ward; step-son, Mark McCaughan (Penelope); step-grandson Mark McCaughan, Jr. (Edith); step-granddaughter, Deborah Fields (Michael); and 4 step great grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held 11:00am Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Chuck Collins celebrant.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to, Regency Hospice, 50 Beverly Pkwy., Suite 200, Pensacola, FL 32505 or to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at The Haven of Our Lady of Peace, Wesley Haven Villas, Regency Hospice and special friends, Sue Walter and Debby Zagars.
