IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eric Marsh
Peterson
April 5, 1929 – June 17, 2024
After a long and distinguished life, Dr. Eric M. Peterson was welcomed home by Our Lord Jesus Christ. Surrounded by his wife and children he peacefully passed after a valiant fight with Cipro poisoning. His life was filled with marvelous accomplishments, too numerous to count, enriching the lives of all he touched. His life spanned 95 years: April 5, 1929, until June 17, 2024.
Most people knew him as an extraordinarily skilled physician and visionary businessman. His family appreciated his professional accompaniments, but also knew him to be an enthusiastic sailor, a collector and scholar of antique woodworking tools, a woodworker, quiz master and superb storyteller, to name a few of his many attributes. A true Renaissance man. He embraced life with verve and skill, always mentally exploring and then improving the world around him.
His lifelong pursuit of knowledge included numerous doctorate and post doctorate degrees, always enlarging his encyclopedic memory. The medical practice he founded is still thriving with over two dozen physicians serving the Moline, Illinois community. He was also honored to have served his country as a Major in the Air Force. His was truly a life fully and well lived.
He is survived by his wife, Neville, of 74 years, his daughter, Kirsten Milliken, of Dallas, Texas, and son, Marsh Peterson, of East Moline, Illinois, and their families. He was so thrilled that his progeny includes 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebratory memorial will be held in his name on July 11, 2024, at 2:00pm. You are welcome to join the celebration in the Azalea Trace auditorium, 10100 Hillview Drive, Pensacola, Florida.
Honorarium donations can be made, in his name, at either Tunnel2towers (t2t.org) or the Salvation Army.
