Ernest "Ernie" Wingate Donnelly, 66, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.

A Pensacola native and life-long resident of East Pensacola Heights, Ernie was a beloved husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend. His early love of cars was born with the guys at Brooks' service station and was evident through to the end in his big red truck. His love of family was life-long but was most recently seen as he became "Bubba" to his grandchildren. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and long-time employee of Gulf Power. Through the years he was an active member of Woodbine Church and Krewe of Lafitte.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Candace Colleen; parents, James K. and Gladys B. Donnelly; brothers, Pat and Ray Donnelly; and sister, Sue Caffery.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Lucy Ray Donnelly; son, Jay Donnelly and daughter-in-law, Chrissy; daughter, Beth Donnelly Torrence and son-in-law, Josh; grandson, Knox; granddaughters, Graceanne and Hannah; sister, Berniece Gilmore; sisters-in-law, Theresa Donnelly and Susan Donnelly; brother-in-law, Rich Caffery; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00pm October 4, 2020 at Woodbine Church, 5200 Woodbine Rd., Pace, FL. Please be prepared to social distance and wear a mask.
