Eva Lou Bauer, 90, resident of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Mrs. Bauer was born on January 4, 1924 in Defiance, OH. She graduated from high school in 1941. She married William H. Bauer on October 5, 1943. They shared over 63 years together before he passed in 2006. They had 8 children, 21 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. They were an active military family for well over 20 years. Mrs. Bauer was a devoted naval aviator wife and mother. She was a very talented seamstress and her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and quilting. Mrs. Bauer is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Bauer and parents, Floyd and Gladys Morris. She is survived by her children, Laura, Craig (Dorie), Mike (Kathy), Chuck (Donna), Judy (Jeff), Dan (Gina), Jane (John), Jenny (Brad); 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and sister, Virginia. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Craig Bauer, Michael Bauer, Chuck Bauer, Jeff Floit, John Vogl, Brad Clinard and Sean Kelly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local hospice organization.
