She was a devout catholic and loved spending time with family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton "Chick" Mitchell; her sister, Mary Mitchell; brothers, Ben Golson, Wyatte "Bub" Golson and Jay Golson; as well as a granddaughter, Tracy Patroni Lafreniere.

She is survived by her daughter, Dian Mathews; two sons, C.J. Mitchell, Jr. (Cheryl) and Rickey Mitchell (Kay); sister, Peggy Peeterse (Charles); sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Stanhope (Chester) and Bernadette Godwin (Don); 6 grandchildren, Phil Mathews (Shauna), Danielle Mitchell (fiancé, David Huhn), Rick Mitchell (Shelly), Kelli Dunaway (Joey), Cliff Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with a rosary to be prayed at 5:00pm.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
