Evelyn McMahon, 86, departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2016, with her family by her side.

She was an outstanding student and was Valedictorian of her high school class. Upon graduation, she was awarded a scholarship to LSU's school of nursing at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where she met her husband, Dr. Donald McMahon, Jr. and moved to Pensacola where she lived a full life, as a loving wife and mother. She loved being a nurse and taking care of others, working first as a surgical nurse and then for many years caring for the elderly. She was active in a number of charities, particularly the Pensacola Junior League. She attended Christ Church in Pensacola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulle Jones and Florence Elizabeth Jones and her beloved grandson, William Rollings McMahon.

She is survived by her children, Beth Jarrett (Mark), John Winston McMahon (Marianne), Donald "Donnie" McMahon III and Norris Ferrill McMahon (Donna); grandchildren, Katie and Donnie Jarrett, Winston and Jacklyn McMahon, Jane Lauter  (Pete), Ferrill Sessions (Rob) and Beth McMahon and Norris, Sarah Beth and Emily McMahon; great grandchildren, Jack and Sabel Lauter and Carter Sessions.

A Private Family Service will be held.
