Florence L. Leonard, 99, of Pensacola, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Florence was born on January 15, 1924, in Vineland, NJ to the late William and Margaret Smith Gruff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Max S. Leonard; sisters, Pearl Stoles and Edith Meyers; and brother, Bill Gruff.

Florence was of the Christian faith and loved to serve the Lord. She was a volunteer at West Florida Hospital for over 29 years and had a career in retail sales. She once received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her hard work and dedication to the hospital. Florence enjoyed cooking and baking for all those she loved and those in need. She had a true love for all people as well as her beloved dog "Lillie".

She is survived by her son, Bill Leonard, of Pensacola, FL.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until a Funeral Service to begin at 1:30pm Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Gordon Godfrey, officiating. She will be placed with her late husband, Max at Barrancas National Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bennett, Dr. Bets and the nursing staff of the second floor of West Florida Hospital for the loving care shown to Florence.
