Florence Virginia Mosley Lamb, 88, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was the twelfth child born to Robert R. Mosley and Lottie C. Browning, on March 20, 1935, in Excel, Alabama; she was the last surviving Mosley child from a family of 13.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband Robert Baggett; 12 brothers and sisters, William Marion, Chester, Leroy, Zella Mae, Curtis, Navada, Aaron Albert, Mary Magdalene, Eugenia, CW (Bill), Ella Mae, Lottie Irene.
She is survived by her son Robert R Baggett (Rebecca A.); her long-time companion Ted Field; and many loving and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Florence spent her early years as a mom and homemaker. Later she became a truck driver and traveled cross country. She loved the adventure of the road and always had stories to tell of her travels.
When she retired, she settled in Pensacola and took up gardening and preserving vegetables. Flo, was an avid quilter and produced many beautiful works which she happily shared with her family.
Her greatest joy by far was found in studying the word of the Lord and she put together a bible study group that met once a week. The years of study brought her not only peace and joy but gave her strength throughout her final days.
A visitation to be held at 10:00am until the memorial service to begin at 11:00am Monday, October 9, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Boulevard, with Rev. James Stickle officiating.
