Floyd C. Replogle, 93, former resident of Lillian, AL and The Veranda of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
He was born June 8, 1927 in Anderson, IN to Rev. Walter R. and Linna Replogle. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, June Spear of Kissimmee, FL; his first wife, Florence (Betty) Holt Replogle (54 years), and his second wife, Ethel Litzinger Replogle (17 years). Mr. Replogle was an Army Veteran of WWII, a proud graduate of Auburn University, a well-known educator in Mobile, AL. For many years he was very active in the Lillian Community. He was a member of the Lillian United Methodist Church, Lillian Masonic Lodge #925, Lillian Community Club, 1994 to 2014 served as Executive Editor of The LILLAN newspaper, 1992-1993 President of the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay, President of Lillian Action Committee and President of the Lillian Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors.
He is survived by son, Floyd Replogle, Jr. (Ruth Ann); daughter, Rita Blouke (Peter); son, Michael Replogle; son, Chester Replogle (Karen); step-daughters, Marci Langford (Jerry) and Julie Litzinger (Kathryn); as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 10:00am Saturday, January 30, 2021 outdoors at the Lillian United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Randall officiating. The family requests all Covid-19 precautions be observed by everyone attending.
