Frances Helen Zdankiewicz Touart, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Lawtey, FL.

Frances was born on March 6, 1943, in Hatfield, MA to Helen and Alexander Zdankiewicz. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA in 1961. On July 11, 1964, she married James Touart in Springfield, MA. In the early 1960's, she became a Surgical Technician, followed by a Licensed Practical Nurse, and ultimately became a Registered Nurse in 1986. She was among the original employees on opening day at West Florida Hospital, where she remained for 15 years. During her time there, she enjoyed working long hours in the operating room on trauma cases.

Frances dedicated herself for many years to helping the Catholic Church, teaching catechism, singing in the choir, and serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. Additionally, she enjoyed helping with church sponsored community events. She spent a great deal of time shopping on QVC and at Dillards. She took pleasure in giving generously to others. She loved her cats, especially 'Kitty Kitty'.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Touart; her mother, Helen Elizabeth (Nowicki) Zdankiewicz; her father, Alexander William Zdankiewicz; her brothers, William Zdankiewicz, Johnny Paige, and Stanley Zdankiewicz; as well as her sisters, Dorothy Paczkowski and Irene Baluka.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Touart) Lucas and her husband Eric of Lawtey, FL; a granddaughter, Alexandra (Burkes) Skinner and her husband Thomas; as well as a grandson, Matthew Burkes.

Visitation will be held 10:30am until a Funeral Mass to begin at 11:30am Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL, with Fr. Jack Campbell celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

The family of Frances wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, especially to Beth and Karen for making her final days comfortable. Beth and Karen made it possible for Frances to stay at home with family until her passing while she suffered from Alzheimer's.
