Francis Frank C. McGartland, 83, of Pensacola Beach, FL passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010. Mr. McGartland was born in Braddock, PA on April 11, 1927. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Fargo. Mr. McGartland retired from Westinghouse after 40 years of service as a Mechanical Engineer. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret McGartland. Survivors include his loving children, Rita McGartland (Terry), Jane McGartland Thiel, Maureen Lee (Tommy) and Michael McGartland (Lee); grandchildren, Jeremy Knipper (Beth), Katie Knipper, Genny Lee, Chris Lee, Ryan McGartland, Natalie McGartland and Sarah McGartland; as well as a special friend and caregiver, Brenda Colon. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Pensacola Beach, FL with Msgr. Luke Hunt celebrant.
