Obituary
Pat departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. His prayer was to be reunited with Patsy, his beloved wife of 52 years, his son, Jeff and his parents who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Patty Poythress (Greg) and grandson, Shawn Patrick Morrison.
Pat was born in Springfield, IL, the only child of George J. and Marie Widmer. He served 39 months with the US Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He attended Hardbarger College in Raleigh, NC and had a 40 year career with Sears, Roebuck Credit Division. He held several positions with Sears and retired in Chicago in 1993.
Pat was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 40 years and a Boy Scout Leader for over 16 years. He was a certified Lay Speaker and Lay Pastor in the Methodist Church and served in many positions in the church and taught Sunday school for over 20 years.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, July 15, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Edison Burleson and Rev. Ted Bowne. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the debt retirement fund of the St. Luke United Methodist Church at 1394 E. Nine Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32514.
