Francis T. (Frank) Dooley, Jr. passed into the presence of his beloved Lord on March 17, 2009, surrounded by his family. Frank was born on January 1, 1925 in Savannah, GA to the late Margarita Hermes and Francis T. Dooley. He served his country in WWII as a Bombardier Navigator in the Army Air Corps. Following the war, he graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1950. On June 12, 1954, Franks life changed forever when he married Jane Futral, who would be his wife and best friend for the next 54 years. Jane and Frank settled in Pensacola in 1961 where they were founding members of St. Paul Catholic Church. For many years, Frank was a manager at St. Regis Paper Co. in Cantonment and briefly in Dallas, TX. He retired from International Paper in 1987. He spent his retirement doing the things he loved, taking walks with his wife, tinkering in his garage and spending time with his family. Frank leaves his devoted wife to cherish his memory, and lives through his children and their spouses; Francis T. Dooley, III (Debora) of Houston, TX; Jane Morgan (Mike) of Pace, FL; Cindy Arnold (Bob) of Pensacola, FL; Kathy Lang of Atlanta, GA; Kelly Carson (Ed) of Pace, FL; Patrick Dooley (Kye) of Tampa, FL; and Stephanie Nelson (Mark) of Dallas, TX. Frank is also survived by 14 grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, as well as his brother Richard Dooley (Nancy) and his sister Margaret Lyons of Savannah, GA. He is predeceased by his brother Thomas Dooley (Edna) of Savannah, GA. Frank was the best husband, father and grandfather the world has ever known, and he will be dearly missed. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am, Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3131 Hyde Park Rd., Pensacola, FL with Fr. Doug Halsema celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Barrancas National Cemetery (NAS Pensacola).
