July 2, 1926 – August 20, 2017
Frank D. Hall, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2017 and went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to be reunited with his wife and son.
Mr. Hall was born and spent most of his life in Pensacola, and graduated from Pensacola High School. He joined the Navy ROTC program and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Naval Science in 1947. He held the rank of Lt. JG in the Navy Reserve. Mr. Hall enjoyed a 44 year career in the paper making industry, serving as Assistant Technical Superintendent when he retired in 1991 from International.
Mr. Hall was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice Clopton Hall and Frank Dewberry Hall; his life-long love and beloved wife of 67 years, Dorothy Jean Hall; son, David R. Hall; and sister, Miriam Stewart.
Mr. Hall is survived by his three daughters, Nancy (Tom) Tolar, of Chattanooga, TN, Cindy (Mike) Hyder, of Pensacola, and Carolyn (Woody) Woudstra, of Ontario, Canada; daughter-in-law, Sheila Hall of Pensacola; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nephew, 3 nieces, and cherished brother-in-law, Tom (Regina) Fogarty, of Spanish Fort, AL.
Visitation will be held at the Harper Morris Memorial Chapel on Airport Blvd., on Friday, August 25, 2017 11:30 until the "Celebration of Life Service" at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park, on Scenic Highway.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family honors Mr. Hall's request of memorial contributions to charities that truly touched his heart: St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Montana 59004 or Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517.
