Frank Heyward Johnston, Jr., 61, of Milton, FL has gone to be with our Lord Jesus Christ as our Father called him home on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Heyward was born in Anchorage, AK on January 16, 1952. He graduated from Pensacola Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1971. Heyward began his working career in the family business, F. H. Johnston Construction. Later he became Vice President of Wilson Floor Covering and retired in 2011 with 30 years of service. Heyward was preceded in death by his parents, Frank H. Johnston, Sr. and Mildred Nowell Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Carol Johnston of Milton; sister, Lynne J. Taylor (David) of Havana, FL; nephew Matt; niece Jill; as well as extended family and friends. He was a member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Milton. Heyward enjoyed fishing, knife-making, woodworking, and gardening. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-10:00am Friday, February 15, 2013, with Funeral services beginning at 10:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Carl Gallups of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church and Pastor David Del Vecchio of Christ Church International, Dothan, AL. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
