Frank Gooch Powell, 83, of Pensacola passed away Monday, November 19, 2012. Mr. Powell was born in Decherd, TN. After receiving his BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1951, he proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict entering the US Air Force with his newly awarded ROTC Commission. His career included Monsanto Quality Control Engineer and later established Escambia Molded Plastics. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Duffle; son, Frank Williams (Bill) Powell; granddaughter, Isabella Campbell Powell of Memphis, TN. Friends will be received from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the family's residence on Sunday, November 25, 2012. His ashes will be dispersed at a later date. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Annie Hoke, Harriet Bonifay, Michael Allen and Jamie Aylesworth.
