IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Ron
Woolfolk
July 18, 1983 – May 30, 2017
Frank Ron Woolfolk was born July 18, 1983 to Ronald and Cherry Woolfolk in Oakland, CA. On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, God called for his son Frank where he will be re-united with his father.
Frank attended Escambia High School in Pensacola. He played football where he met and maintained his friendships with a group of guys aka X4. He considered them to be his brothers. He graduated in 2001. A few years later he met Tyrone Craig, who would later become the best man at his wedding and that completed his brotherhood.
On May 25, 2013 Frank met the love of his life, Mia Nicole. It was a magical moment. He described Mia as his "Once in a Lifetime" the woman he connected with heart to heart…soul to soul. A friendship developed and love followed. They united in Holy Matrimony on September 10, 2016.
He embraced his role as a devoted father and husband. Many hours were spent on the soccer field and t-ball field watching their children Will, Mayarie and Derrick perform, with the youngest, Frank Jr., sharing a bleacher seat with his daddy. He loved taking his family on different excursions- whether it was Panama City, Destin, Foley, Gulf Shores and Tampa. Friends and family get-togethers were the norm whether it was at Lula's, hosting football parties, rooting for the Michigan Wolverines or his beloved 49'ers, and many barbecues! He also enjoyed dirt biking and fishing.
To many, Frank was known as "Chef Frank." He was admired, loved and respected by the local culinary community. Over the past 15 years, Chef Frank worked in various restaurants throughout Pensacola and Pensacola Beach.
In 2014, Chef Frank came onboard as Sous Chef at Pensacola Cooks Kitchen, and in 2015 he was named Executive Chef. Whether at lunch, dinner, catering or in cooking classes, Chef Frank shared his heart for connecting people with his passion for cooking. Customers quickly became friends.
Chef Frank leaves a dedicated, loyal and talented PCK staff to carry on what he valued most—serving and supporting others through impeccable customer service and fresh, flavorful house made food.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Woolfolk.
His life and legacy will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Mia Woolfolk; children, Mayarie Walker, William Woolfolk, Derrick Walker III and Frank Woolfolk Jr.; mother, Cherry Woolfolk; sisters, Regina Woolfolk and Rachel Lakin; nephews, Alyn Shaw, Alex Shaw and Lorenzo Serrani; nieces, Aysha McGrath, Christina Lakin and Kayla Lakin and also special family members, Tyrone Craig, Bobby Gonzalez and Bridget Etheridge.
Visitation will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday, June 7, 2017 with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 2pm from Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. James Valenzuela, celebrant. Interment follows at Holy Cross Cemetery.
