Dr. Frederick Lee Ted Malone, 73, of Pensacola, FL and formerly of McComb, MS passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Ted was born on December 25, 1938 in McComb, MS. He graduated from McComb High School, Southwest Mississippi Jr. College and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Ted was a retired military Optometrist having served in Europe in the Army and Air Force. He also practiced optometry in McComb and the surrounding area retiring in 2008. Ted had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed farming and gardening. He also loved spending time with his family and friends by whom he was much loved and will be dearly missed. Ted was preceded in death by his father Eddie Malone. Survivors include his wife, Connie Malone; mother, Anne Malone Fuller; daughter, Tammy Malone; son Parry Malone; daughter, Huntley Malone; sister, Patricia Harbison (Gregg); grandson, Michael Malone; granddaughter, Shealan Malone; grandson, Evan Malone. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 6:00pm Thursday, August 30, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in McComb, MS with Fr. Bryan celebrant.
