Dr. Gaynelle S. Fletcher, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Gaynelle was born on January 12, 1925 in Ariton, AL to Robert and Maggie May (Pugh) Scott. The family moved to Auburndale, FL where she grew up. In 1941, she married Willis M. "Bud" Fletcher, and they had four sons. Gaynelle worked for Fisher Brown Insurance Company for 35 years retiring as a CFO. She received her MBA in Business and Management, and in the 1980's her Doctrine in Education and later taught night classes in the Department of Computer Science at Troy State University, Florida Region. After the passing of her first husband, Bud, in 1999, Gaynelle married James McNabb a childhood friend. She was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and filled in as organist, a member of the Hupomeno Sunday School Class. One of her greatest joys was serving as a Youth Counselors in the '70's where she touched the lives of many youth.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 47 years Willis M. "Bud" Fletcher, Sr.; sons, Willis M. Fletcher, Jr. and Robert O. Fletcher; husband James McNabb. Survivors include her sons, Sherman L. Fletcher and O'Donnell S. Fletcher; and her seven grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 with the Funeral Service at 3:00pm at St. Mark United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Morris officiating. A Private burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearer will be the Hupomeo Sunday School Class.
