Genella Speed Scott of Pensacola passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012. She happily owned and operated Artistic Florist in Pensacola for over 20 years. Her family and her work were her two passions in life. Genella was preceded in death by her parents, F. M. and Annie B. Speed; brother, James Speed; and her son, Paul. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends and will never be forgotten. Survivors include her husband of almost 55 years, Ellis; beloved mother of Ellisa Thomas (Paul) and Joan; grandchildren, Matt Thomas (Lisa), Michael Thomas (Stacey) and Ellie Scott; great grandchildren, Austin and Jarrett Thomas; brother, Jack Speed (Joan); sisters, Vonceil Nichols (Tom) and Ruth Teagle; and many loving nieces, nephews and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Peebles officiating. Flowers will be welcomed or memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
