George D. Smith, 56, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013. George was born in Albany, GA on March 8, 1956, and he and his family moved to Pensacola when he was 8. George spent his life in the construction working with his brother, Steve. He loved spending time at the beach, golfing, but especially spending time with his family. George was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Bottoms Smith; father Perry Zack Smith; his grandmother, Mamie Bottoms. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; son; Zachary; daughter, Hillary; brother Steve; mother-in-law, Juanita Drossos; brother-in-law; Danny Drossos (Jessie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:30pm until the Funeral services at 1:30pm Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be John Ard, Mark Richards, Marty Moore, Chuck Norton, Brett Barrow and Bob Olliff.
