Georgia C. Scapin, 93, of Pensacola, FL., died Sunday April 13, 2025.

Georgia was born in Clarksdale, MS and spent 6 years of her childhood on the island of Skopelos, Greece during WWII. After marrying her husband, George, and moving to Pensacola in 1964, she helped operate Scapin and Son Grocery for many years. Throughout her life, she was always taking care of others including her parents, her husband, her children, other family members, and close friends. She especially loved and was so proud of her two sons, John and Michael.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George J. Scapin; her parents, John and Marianthe Chicouras; her brother. Nick Chicouras and her sister, Minnie Poulos.

Georgia is survived by her two sons, John G. Scapin (wife, Ursula C. Scapin) and Michael G. Scapin (Pam Weeks); 4 grandchildren, Alexandra, Brandon, Demetri, and Alena Scapin; nephew, John Poulos; several cousins, nephews, and nieces; godson, Nick Gomenis and his brother Pete, and her Koumbara and best friend, Nina Gomenis.

A visitation will be from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father John Kalantzis officiating, Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.

A ctive Pallbearers will be: Brandon Scapin, Demetri Scapin, Nick Gomenis, Pete Gomenis, Gary Tringas, Peter Bithos, Vasile Faklis and Jim Kleoudis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1720 West Garden Street, Pensacola, FL., 32502.
