Gerald "Jerry" L. Morrison, 69, of Pensacola, FL passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Gerald was born and grew up in Middlesboro, KY, before moving to Pensacola with his wife in 1975. He was a proud member of the Middlesboro High class of 1964. He graduated from Troy University with a degree in Management and worked as a financial advisor for 28 years; most recently at Stifel Financial Corporation in Pensacola as Vice President. He loved his profession and his clients and was blessed to enjoy going to work every day. Gerald held the title of Kentucky Colonel, which is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was a member and Past President of Pensacola Five Flags Rotary Club, where he was designated a Paul Harris Fellow. Most of all, Gerald was a devout and faithful Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Gerald was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was also one of the most honorable men that ever lived. He always kept his word and truly lived by the words of the Bible. His loss leaves a deep sadness within us, but also drives us all to be better, like him. Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Morrison and daughter, Megan Lindsey Morrison. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Audrey Morrison; children, Pam O'Rear (Louis) of Pensacola, Micah Morrison of Gainesville and Mercer Morrison, New York, NY; father, Charles Edward Morrison I of Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Charles Edward Morrison, II, Robert Morrison and Todd Morrison of Kentucky; two grandchildren, Connor and Matthew O'Rear and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 with Funeral services beginning at 2:30pm from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Barry Howard and Rev. Rick Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Pensacola Five Flags Rotary and Gerald's co-workers at Stifel.
