Gladys Jewel Cagle McMillian went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2019 at the age of 93. She was born in Clarksdale, MS and was married to Lawrence H. McMillian of Pensacola for 62 years. Gladys moved to Pensacola in 1946 when she and Mac were married. She worked at the Medical Center Clinic for 40 years before retiring to devote her energies to her family and friends. Gladys loved to entertain and travel with her grandchildren. She also loved to watch Braves baseball and especially golf on TV. Gladys was kind, generous and caring. She will be greatly missed but her life is to be celebrated because of her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Gladys is in heaven resting in His loving arms.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lawrence (Mac). Gladys is survived by her two daughters, Della Walls (Byron) of Pensacola and Linda Angel (Jim) of Pelham. AL; three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Pass, Holly Dymond (Lee) and Heather Gassner (Scott); six dearly loved great grandchildren, Caroline Dymond, Anna Dymond, Allie Gassner, Noah Gassner, Sidney Alford and Kalysta Mankins; and two step-grandchildren, Natasha Mankins (Steve) and Christopher Walls.

The family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice, especially several dedicated workers including Evelyn Fields, Nurse Janiel Payne, Chaplain Jason Adams and Social Worker David Morgan.

Visitation for friends will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2019 with the service at 12:30 PM at Harper- Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola with interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Dr. Lee Dymond, Alabama Baptist State Missionary will officiate.
